We are looking for a few folks to join the team! Spark Bagel makes sourdough bagels, pastries, and sandwiches in Northport. We have been running a wholesale and farmers market business for 3 years and this spring opened up our brick and mortar bagel shop and we need more hands!  We focus on local ingredients, grains, and seasonal produce in our production and put a lot of care into our food and customer experience. 

We are looking to fill cashier, dish, prep, and line cook positions. Pay $16/hour - $20/hour depending on position and experience plus all employees are part of a tip pool which averages an additional $3-$5/hour. Weekend availability is a MUST for all the jobs listed. Some staff work a mix of FOH and BOH positions and happy to offer that to the right person.

Ideal candidates are:

- Have prior relevant experience or enthusiasm and grit to make up for experience. Line cook position requires prior experience

- Able to follow directions, multitask, and communicate with teammates

- Excited to be part of a growing bagel shop

- Bagel, bread, or dough experience a huge plus!

Front of House (FOH) job duties: $16-18 plus tips

  • Provide excellent customer service

  • Handle transactions/operating of POS (point of sale system)

  • Work in a fast paced environment while keeping an attention to detail

  • Restocking, Organizing, and cleaning of space

  • Weekend availability is a MUST

  • Possible Shifts 7am-2pm Fri-Sun

  • Part time positions available 

Line Cook: (experience required) $18-$20 plus tips

  • Quality control of ingredients and final products

  • Attention to detail and finesse with making and plating of food

  • Food safety knowledge

  • Not afraid of washing dishes

  • Ability to work quickly and cleanly under the pressure of a fast paced environment

  • Weekend availability a MUST

  • Possible Hours Fri-Sun 6:30a-2p 

  • Part time/Full Time 3-5 days/week

Prep/Dish: $16-$18 plus tips

  • Maintain a clean organized dish room

  • Food prep prior to and during service

  • Ability to multitask

  • Weekend availability a MUST

  • Possible Hours Wed-Sun 7a-2p

  • Part time 2-4 days/week
